1. Carefully mask the surrounding area

Since it is hardly possible to add latex paint to the wall without dripping In the first step you should protect the floor with covering material and mask off all skirting boards and door frames.

2. Start applying at the window side

Select a room corner near the window to start painting. First, work the edge zones with the brush, then quickly fill the area with the roller.

3. Apply paint to the paint roller

First moisten the paint roller slightly. To apply the paint cleanly with the roller, do not immerse it in the paint. Roll the surface over the latex paint with some pressure and then wipe it off again. Then paint the wall.

4. Painting surfaces without any paint

Always finish a complete wall before taking a break. This helps to avoid streaking that occurs when the individual sections are not wet-on-wet.

5. Wash out tools

For longer breaks and after work, thoroughly wash your tools with water to prevent the ink residue from drying.

Tips & TricksFor highly structured walls, long-pile rollers are suitable; on smooth surfaces, a short-pile roller is sufficient. Anyone who has to paint the ceiling also starts there before he goes to the walls.
